Bonjour y’all!
Dear LPFI Family,
Le Grand Pique-Nique is almost here! Join us on Sunday, April 19 at the West Baton Rouge Museum in Port Allen from 10 AM to 2 PM for a full day of French language, culture, food, and community.
Événement
Le Grand Pique-Nique: Sunday, April 19 at the West Baton Rouge Museum
A few highlights we can’t wait to share with you:
ON THE MAIN STAGE: We are thrilled to welcome Ashley Orlando, who will be performing live throughout the day. You won’t want to miss it.
TALENT SHOW: This year we have an incredible 22 groups of performers taking the stage — a true celebration of the creativity and French-language pride of our immersion community.
FOOD & DRINK: We’ll have Jambalaya, delicious crêpes from Crepes Rendez Vous (coming to us from Metairie), and coffee from French Settlement Coffee — you’ll find them in their Espresso Geaux truck.
PARTNERS ON SITE: We are honored to be joined by CODOFIL and their universities consortium, representatives from the Atchafalaya National Heritage Area, and the Louisiana Consortium of Immersion Schools. We’re also grateful for the student volunteers from BRMHS, Westdale, Lafayette High, and Tulane who help make this day possible.
PODCASTING & VIDEOS: New this year — we’ll be podcasting from the event! Keep an eye on our YouTube channel for videos from Le Grand Pique-Nique.
Bring your family, bring your friends, and bring your appetite. We can’t wait to see you on April 19.
À bientôt,
Matthew Diez
