À PROPOS DE L'ÉVÉNEMENT
Le Grand Pique-Nique is an annual free festival that brings together French immersion students, their families, and the broader community to celebrate French language and culture in Louisiana. In 2026, it will enter its 31st year attracting students from all 25 French Immersion schools across Louisiana. The event is hosted by Louisiana Parents of French Immersion (LPFI) and held at the West Baton Rouge Museum in Port Allen.

French Spelling Bee
Spelling Bee is open to K-8th students ONLY. Teachers will register students to participate. PARENTS should not register students directly. Limit: one student per grade per school. Registration deadline: Friday, March 27, 2026
Poster + Comic Strip Contest
The Poster and Comic Strip contest is open to ALL immersion students. Teachers will register students.
Activité : Talents
Show off your French skills! Singing, dancing, comedy, poetry reading... all performances must be conducted entirely in French. This event is open to all ages.
Registration deadline: Friday, March 27, 2026
Rules: Performances must be 5 minutes or less. All content must be family-friendly. Must perform in French.
